Catia was born in southern Brazil, a region where tradition is taken seriously by the 'gaúchos', descendants of the native Brazilians, Portuguese, Italians and Germans who populated that area.
When she moved to Florida with her American husband Miguel and their two daughters, she brought that tradition within her soul and translated it by preparing the most beloved Brazilian sweet treat to mitigate her homesickess: the Brigadeiro. This hand-rolled chocolate treat has a unique soft texture, in between troufle and fudge, which fills the mouth with pure joy.
Growing up surrounded by family stories, recipes and affection, Catia mixed up her childhood memories with the Key Biscayne sunny sophistication to develop her very own Brigadeiro alchemy.
